About Lawrence

Lawrence Stordy is a partner in Stewart McKelvey's Halifax office who advises companies, founders, investors and boards on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and strategic business transactions across a broad range of industries. His practice spans domestic and cross-border M&A, private equity transactions, corporate reorganizations, succession planning, and shareholder matters. He has developed particular experience in public-private partnerships, especially in the healthcare sector, representing private service providers on high-value, multi-decade government contracts, and he also advises on government procurement, national security, and defence-related matters. He earned a combined MBA/LLB from Dalhousie University in 1984 and a BA from the University of Prince Edward Island in 1980. He was called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1986 and the British Columbia bar in 1985, and was appointed King's Counsel in 2011.
