About Lauren

Lauren Parker is a senior associate at Sotos LLP practicing corporate and commercial law with a focus on franchising, licensing, and distribution. Lauren advises Canadian and international franchisors on disclosure documents, franchise agreements, master franchise agreements, and related documentation, and manages franchise relationships through enforcement, system changes, transfers, resales, and renewals. Advisory work also extends to broader business matters for franchise clients, such as buying and selling shares or assets, restructuring corporations, and drafting commercial contracts. Before joining Sotos, Lauren was a litigation and corporate-commercial associate at a franchise-focused boutique firm in Toronto, and was called to the bar in 2018. Lauren holds a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School and was named a Legal Eagle by Franchise Times Magazine for 2023-2024.
