Laurance J. Yakimowski, K.C. is a Partner at Kanuka Thuringer LLP in Regina, advising commercial and corporate clients with an emphasis on corporate, securities, commercial real estate, financing, and secured transaction law across industries including agriculture, automotive, financial services, food, and manufacturing. He advises on financing structures, tax-oriented capital reorganizations, and business acquisitions and dispositions, and regularly acts as agent counsel for issuers, underwriters, and investors in public offerings and private placements, including matters before Saskatchewan's Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority. Yakimowski has held management responsibilities within the firm, including terms on its management team, and has been recognized as a leading lawyer in Corporate Law and Securities Law by The Best Lawyers in Canada since 2012. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan (1976) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan (1973), was admitted to the Saskatchewan Bar in 1977, and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2012.
