About Tavengwa

Tavengwa Runyowa is a Regina lawyer and the principal of Runyowa Law. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, he won a scholarship to the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales and later to Simon Fraser University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science and film in 2004. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa in 2010, winning awards in the school's mooting program, and completed articles with the World Trade Organization in Geneva and the International Criminal Court in The Hague. He went on to earn a Master of Laws with merit from the University of London, specializing in comparative competition law and internet-related intellectual property. Runyowa's practice focuses on civil litigation, and he serves as a board member with the ADR Institute of Saskatchewan's Centralized Board of Revision and as an independent roster member for the Abuse Free Sport legal aid program. He is a member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan and the Law Society of Ontario, and is a qualified arbitrator through the ADR Institute of Canada.
