About Laura
Laura McCarthy is a Halifax native who earned a combined honours degree in microbiology and immunology and biochemistry and molecular biology from Dalhousie University before obtaining her Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law in 2012. She articled with Cox & Palmer in Halifax and then joined Howe Law in June 2013 before opening McCarthy Kuszelewski Law in June 2014, where she practises family and criminal law. She takes time with clients to explain court procedure and the strategies available to them, aiming to make the experience of being charged or involved in a legal matter as manageable as possible.
