Criminal DefenceLaura Nagy is a bilingual criminal defence lawyer originally from Montreal who now practises in Manitoba. She earned her civil law degree from the University of Ottawa and completed her common law accreditation through the Federation of Law Societies of Canada before relocating to Winnipeg. She volunteered as a student at the Legal Help Centre in Winnipeg and worked as a legal assistant and court clerk before articling at the boutique criminal defence firm then known as Bueti Wasyliw Wiebe. She was called to the Manitoba Bar in May 2018 and focuses on criminal defence, with particular attention to serving Manitoba's French-minority communities such as St. Boniface and St-Pierre-Jolys. She has been a Panel Chair for the Manitoba Mental Health Review Board since 2021 and has served as President of St. Boniface Street Links since 2018.
