About Laura M. Gurr

Condominium corporations, non-profit housing providers, property managers and developers come to Laura Gurr for development, governance, operations and litigation matters. Laura looks for practical, creative and sustainable solutions, the kind that prevent disputes and resolve the ones that do arise. As a member of Cohen Highley's Multi-Residential Housing Group, Laura focuses on condominium law and affordable housing.

A Strathroy native who lives in London today, Laura was named managing partner of Cohen Highley LLP in February 2023. A few months earlier, in November 2022, the Canadian Condominium Institute's national body granted Laura the LCCI designation, short for Leader of the Canadian Condominium Institute. Inside the firm, Laura helped found its Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee, and all that volunteer work with non-profits led London Inc. Magazine to name Laura to its 20 Under 40.

Laura has served on the board of CCI's London chapter, which Laura first joined in 2016, and is a director of Homes Unlimited (London) Inc., a non-profit housing provider. Laura also writes and speaks regularly on legal issues facing the condo industry, with articles in CCI Review, ACMO's CM Magazine and REMI's CondoBusiness, and talks for CCI London on the Condominium Authority Tribunal and on condo safety, security and privacy.

Affordable housing, equity, diversity and inclusion, and community service are causes Laura cares about deeply. Spare time goes to family, running, the golf course and reading.
