About Kyle

Kyle Risby joined Callison & Hanna as an associate in 2025 after articling with the British Columbia First Nations Justice Council. His practice focuses on negotiations, land claims, governance, and incorporating Indigenous law into consent-based decision-making. He received a joint JD/JID law degree from the Indigenous Law Program at the University of Victoria, after starting his studies at Yukon University and completing a bachelor's degree at Royal Roads University. Kyle is a member of the Tahltan Nation.
