About Kyle

Kyle Mercer is a Partner in Cox & Palmer's St. John's office practising commercial and residential real estate law, including work for vendors, purchasers and lenders, as well as commercial and residential leasing. He also maintains a corporate and commercial practice, advising businesses and individuals on incorporation, reorganizations, asset and share acquisitions, and corporate governance. Kyle co-chairs the firm's Start-Ups Group in Newfoundland and Labrador and advises entrepreneurs through each stage of growth, and his practice also extends to energy and natural resources and maritime law. He earned a B.Comm from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2013 and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Brunswick in 2017, and was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador Bar in 2019. Outside his practice, Kyle instructs an International Business Law course at Memorial University's Faculty of Business and serves as a director for several community organizations.
