About Kristofer
Kristofer J. Advent is a senior associate at Beresh Law who has practiced criminal law for his entire career. He was born and raised in rural Northwestern Ontario and attended the University of Manitoba, receiving his Bachelor of Arts with distinction in 2009 and his Juris Doctor in 2012. He was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2013 and the Alberta Bar in 2020, joining Beresh Law in June 2019 at the invitation of Brian A. Beresh, K.C. He has argued numerous appeals before the Manitoba Court of Appeal, including as co-counsel in the 2017 murder retrial of Mark Grant, and has defended clients charged with drug offences, driving offences, violent offences, and sexual offences across Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.
