About Kristen

Kristen is a litigator based in the St. John's office whose practice covers tax, business and corporate matters. She developed a strong foundation in tax law during a one-year judicial clerkship at the Tax Court of Canada, where she researched and helped prepare legal opinions on personal and corporate income tax and GST/HST issues. That clerkship gave her a detailed understanding of the Tax Court's procedures and the full life cycle of tax dispute resolution. At McInnes Cooper, Kristen works with clients to develop practical tax solutions and draws on her litigation background to support them through complex disputes. She holds a J.D. from the University of New Brunswick and a B.Comm. from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and was called to the bar in Nova Scotia in 2024 and in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2026.
