Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionKim Walsh's practice focuses primarily on the marine sector, representing ship owners, insurers, mortgagees and creditors in arrests, releases, bail and settlements for vessels, and advising on security available to lenders and borrowers. She also advises developers, landowners and other stakeholders in the renewable energy sector on commercial agreements and regulatory requirements for wind energy, hydrogen production and biofuel refining projects. Walsh assists lenders and borrowers with banking and financing transactions in the marine and fisheries sectors, including drafting credit agreements and structuring security, and advises on realization of security and restructuring credit arrangements with insolvent debtors. Her experience spans vessel registrations, conveyances and financings, marine regulatory matters, and maritime litigation including collisions, cargo claims and marine insurance. She earned her LLB from Dalhousie University in 2000 and a BA from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 1997.
