About Kiersten
Kiersten Amos is a partner in McInnes Cooper's Labour & Employment and Pension & Benefits groups. She represents clients before courts, tribunals and labour boards, and acts as chief negotiator in collective bargaining. Her practice covers human resources matters, human rights, employment and labour standards, privacy, workers' compensation, wrongful dismissal and workplace investigations, along with pension and employee benefits governance and plan administration. Kiersten began her legal career at McInnes Cooper and returned to the firm after serving as General Counsel for a large Atlantic Canada and Ontario healthcare employer, where she also had business responsibility for human resources, labour relations and occupational health and safety. She is a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, an instructor for the Advanced Trust Management Systems program, and a member of the Canadian Bar Association. Before entering law, she worked as a clinical dietitian in Canada and the United States, and she was called to the bar in Nova Scotia in 2009 and Prince Edward Island in 2015.
