About Kevin

Kevin Weinstein is an associate at Engel & Associates practising criminal and quasi-criminal litigation, representing clients charged with a wide range of offences throughout eastern Ontario. During law school he developed a particular interest in wrongful convictions, working for two years on the University of Ottawa's Conviction Review Project and at the Department of Justice's Criminal Conviction Review Group. Born and raised in Montreal, he attended McGill University for his undergraduate studies before moving to Ottawa for law school at the University of Ottawa. He joined Engel & Associates as an articling student in 2016 and remained as an associate after his call to the Bar of Ontario in 2017. He is a member of the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa.
