Omar Abou El Hassan is the founder of AEH Criminal Law, a criminal defence practice serving clients in Ottawa, Mississauga, and across Ontario. He was called to the bar in 2019 after earning a law degree from the University of Ottawa and a B.A. in Criminology with a minor in Psychology from Ryerson University. His practice covers the full range of criminal proceedings, including bail hearings, pre-trial motions, and trials in the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice, and he's argued appeals before the Ontario Court of Appeal. During law school he clerked at the Ontario Court of Justice and interned with the Department of Justice's War Crimes and Crimes Against Humanity Section. He's a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Criminal Lawyers' Association, and the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa, and is fluent in English and Arabic.
