About Kevin
Kevin Hannah, K.C. is a senior divorce lawyer who has practiced almost exclusively in separation and divorce law for 30 years, following earlier experience in criminal law and general litigation. He divides his practice between a limited number of private clients and work as a mediator and arbitrator for other lawyers and their clients. In 2020 he received the Dr. John Haynes Memorial Award for his contribution to family mediation. Hannah has been listed in Best Lawyers as one of Calgary's leading family lawyers every year since the guide's inception in 2006, and he was named Lawyer of the Year in family law in 2014 and 2021. He's also recognized in the Lexpert Legal Directory and Doyle's Guide, and since 2011 has been listed as a leading ADR lawyer for his work in divorce mediation and arbitration. In 2018, the Alberta government retained him to advise the Minister of Justice on changes to property-sharing legislation following divorce. He has volunteered for several years with Calgary Legal Guidance, providing free legal advice to those with limited means.
