About Amanda
Amanda James is a partner at Apna Law LLP with a busy litigation practice focused on family and estate matters. She has represented clients at every level of court in British Columbia as well as in mediation and collaborative negotiations, handling family property and debt division, guideline income and child support issues, relocation disputes, and prenuptial and cohabitation agreements. On the estate side, she has acted for beneficiaries, executors, administrators, and trustees on wills variation, wills validity, and estate administration issues. She earned her JD from Thompson Rivers University in 2014 and joined Apna Law LLP in 2022 after practicing as a partner at a boutique family, estate, and injury firm. She volunteers with Access Pro Bono's Court of Appeal Roster Program and the Rise community legal centre, and has published on family law and pet custody issues in the Advocate (Vancouver).
