About Kelly
Kelly Sample is the firm's Managing Partner, practicing business law and commercial real estate alongside tax, estate, and trust planning for business owners. As Managing Partner she oversees the firm's operations, and her client base spans construction, aviation, healthcare, and sports and recreation industries, advising on structuring, financing, buying and selling businesses, and commercial contracts. As a member of both the Ontario and New York bars, she regularly advises on cross-border matters, and served on the American Bar Association's Deal Points Study working group analyzing trends in Canadian mergers and acquisitions. Her commercial real estate work spans office, industrial, retail, hospitality, and residential developments across Eastern Ontario for developers, owners, investors, builders, and lenders. In 2007, Kelly was named one of Ottawa's Forty Under 40 by the Ottawa Business Journal, and in 2008 Ottawa Life magazine profiled her among its Top 50 People in the Capital; Carleton University has named her one of its Great Grads. She was called to the Ontario bar in 1998 and the New York bar in 2007, earning her LL.B. from Dalhousie University Law School and a B.Comm. (Honours) from Carleton University.
