About Judie
Judie has practiced law for over 40 years. She practiced with the firm of Barnes Sammon from 1982 until joining Bell Baker in 2025. She received her law degree from the University of Ottawa and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1979. Born in Hong Kong, she reads, writes, and speaks Cantonese. Her practice covers residential and commercial real estate, including non-resident purchase and sale transactions, secured lending, corporate and commercial law including commercial leasing and the purchase and sale of businesses and franchises, and drafting of shareholder agreements. She also has extensive experience in wills and estates, family law domestic contracts and separation agreements, and immigration matters including spousal sponsorship cases.
