About Kelly
Kelly Nychka is a partner at Chivers Carpenter Lawyers, advising and representing unions and associations on all labour relations matters. She has participated in numerous arbitration hearings and matters before the Alberta Labour Relations Board and the Alberta Human Rights Tribunal, and has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta. Kelly joined Chivers Carpenter in 2016 after practising employment law at a mid-sized Edmonton firm and labour law as in-house counsel in the public sector following her 2009 call to the bar. She taught labour law at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law from 2021 to 2024 and has served on the Board of Directors for Women in Law Leadership since 2014.
