About Kathryn

Kathryn is a research and litigation lawyer at McInnes Cooper's Fredericton office, with a practice focused on insurance defence and on energy and natural resources work involving Aboriginal and Indigenous consultation and engagement. She also handles administrative law matters and complex commercial litigation involving shareholder disputes. Before joining the firm, she practised litigation at a regional firm, conducting research on jurisdictional issues, commercial disputes, and Aboriginal law. Kathryn holds a J.D. from the University of New Brunswick and undergraduate degrees from Wilfrid Laurier University in Law and Society and in Kinesiology, along with several certificates in Indigenous law and consultation. Outside the office, she coaches provincial-level baseball and mentors coaches through Women in Coaching Canada.
