About Daniel

Daniel R. Theriault, Q.C. has practiced law in New Brunswick since 1988, focusing on property law, administrative law, indigenous law, environmental law, civil litigation, wills and estates, and corporate and commercial law. He has represented various self-regulating professions and numerous First Nations communities in the province. Outside private practice, Theriault served as the first full-time Chairperson of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal and acted as public intervener before the Energy and Utilities Board from 2006 to 2011. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2008 and has appeared before all levels of court, including two appearances before the Supreme Court of Canada. He is a member of the Law Society of Saint John, the York-Sunbury Law Society, the Law Society of New Brunswick, the Canadian Bar Association, the Council of Canadian Administrative Tribunals, and the Foundation of Administrative Justice.
