About Katelyn
Katelyn Johnstone is an associate in OKT's Toronto office whose practice focuses on litigation involving human rights and discrimination, Aboriginal and Treaty rights claims, and Indigenous governance. Before joining OKT, she spent two years at a commercial litigation boutique in Toronto and completed her articles as a judicial law clerk at the British Columbia Court of Appeal. Katelyn earned her J.D. from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law with a Certificate in Aboriginal Studies, where she worked at the Legal Clinic of Aboriginal Legal Services, took part in an Anishinaabe law camp with the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation, and coached and competed in the Laskin Moot. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science from McMaster University and was called to the Ontario bar in 2022.
