About Karen

Karen Carteri is a trial and appellate lawyer who joined NST as a partner in 2016 after leading the Vancouver litigation group at a national law firm. She practices in shareholder and corporate disputes, partnership disputes, property development and title matters, and civil forfeiture proceedings, and has represented clients in the mining and financial sectors. She was called to the British Columbia bar in 2002 and to the Saskatchewan bar in 2000, and holds an LL.B. from the University of Saskatchewan. Carteri was appointed King's Counsel in 2026 and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She has been recognized by Lexpert, Chambers Canada, and Benchmark Litigation, and received the Vancouver Bar Association's Peter S. Hyndman Mentorship Award in 2022. She serves on the boards of PALS Autism School and Little Flower Academy.
