About Emily

Emily Hansen practices estates and trusts litigation alongside general commercial litigation. She has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, including running trials in the Provincial and Supreme Courts, and has represented clients before administrative decision-makers. Hansen was called to the British Columbia bar in 2018 and holds a J.D. from Dalhousie University, where she graduated as a gold medallist, and a B.A. from the University of British Columbia. She is an associate member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners and has served on the executive of the CBA BC Appellate Advocacy Section. She volunteers with Access Pro Bono's Court of Appeal program and judges first-year moots at UBC's Allard School of Law.
