About Allison
Allison E. I. McMahon maintains a broad civil and administrative litigation practice at NST, with particular focus on appeals, complex contract disputes, and judicial reviews, and has appeared before every level of court in British Columbia. Prior to joining the firm, McMahon clerked for Justice Brown at the Supreme Court of Canada from 2020 to 2021 and for Justices D. Smith and DeWitt-Van Oosten at the Court of Appeal for British Columbia from 2019 to 2020, after which she practised as a litigation associate at a large regional firm and served as Commission Counsel on the Public Order Emergency Commission. McMahon was called to the British Columbia bar in 2020 and holds a J.D. from the University of British Columbia, an M.A. in History from Queen's University, and a B.A. Hons in History and English Literature from McGill University. Chambers & Partners named her an Associate to Watch in Commercial Litigation in 2025, and she teaches as an adjunct professor at the Allard School of Law.
