Justin Murphy is an associate at YLaw's Vancouver office whose practice focuses on family law with a growing employment law practice. He was called to the bar in 2020 and has represented clients in the BC Provincial Court and Supreme Court on parenting disputes, child and spousal support, property division, protection orders, and relocation matters, as well as chambers applications, mediations, and trials. His employment work includes wrongful dismissal claims, human rights complaints, and workplace accommodation issues. Before joining YLaw he practised at a boutique firm in New Westminster representing clients in rural and northern BC communities. He holds a Juris Doctor from Queen's University (2019) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in French from Simon Fraser University (2015), and was a student caseworker with UBC's Law Students' Legal Advice Program and Queen's Legal Aid. He speaks English, French, and some Italian.
