About Julie

Julie Maciura is a founding partner of Steinecke Maciura LeBlanc and a member of the law societies of Ontario and New Brunswick. She has practised administrative law, with a focus on professional regulation, for more than 30 years, serving as general counsel, prosecutor, and independent legal counsel for numerous Ontario regulators. Her work includes committee training, guidance on registration and quality assurance, drafting regulations and policies, and legal audits of statutory programs, and she has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario on appeals and judicial reviews. Julie holds a BA and MA in English literature from the University of Lethbridge and the University of Toronto respectively, a Bachelor of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, and an LLM in Administrative Law from Osgoode, obtained in 2007. She was recognized as a specialist in health law by the Law Society of Ontario in 2012 and received the Consumer Protection Award from the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation in 2019.
