Bernard (Bernie) LeBlanc is a partner at Steinecke Maciura LeBlanc. He holds a B.A. (Hons.) from Mount Allison University and earned his M.A. and law degrees at Queen's University, after which he articled as a law clerk at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. He has practised law in Toronto for more than three decades, beginning in the litigation group of a large national firm before joining what is now Steinecke Maciura LeBlanc. Bernie's practice is concentrated almost entirely in administrative law and professional regulation, and he has appeared before every level of court in Ontario as well as numerous administrative tribunals. He advises and trains regulators across the country and regularly prosecutes cases of professional misconduct in a range of industries. He speaks often at national and international conferences and runs workshops on hearing panel training and other regulatory subjects, and, together with Richard Steinecke, co-authored a guide to the Regulated Health Professions Act. Bernie is certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Civil Litigation and in Health Law.
