About Julie

Julie Katherine Ough is a civil and family litigator at Dinning Hunter, focusing on business disputes, contracts, property and tort claims, foreclosure, and family property division. She has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia and Alberta, including Small Claims and Family provincial court, the BC Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, and Alberta's Provincial Court and Court of King's Bench, as well as before various administrative tribunals. She has a particular interest in trial work and provides co-counsel trial services to other firms on a contract basis. Before earning her JD from the University of Victoria in 2020, Julie worked as a designated paralegal and law clerk for over 15 years in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. She belongs to the Law Society of BC, the Victoria Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, and the Canadian Bar Association.
