About Julianna

Julianna Hamilton is an associate at Velletta Pedersen Christie focusing primarily on family law, including pension division, child and spousal support, complex property division, and parenting arrangements, along with some employment law and human rights matters. She moved to Victoria to attend the University of Victoria's law program, earning her JD in 2025 after a Master of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University and time in the federal public service. During law school she received the Law Foundation of British Columbia's Public Interest Award in two consecutive years and YLaw's Best Lawyering Award for her work at The Law Centre, where she also restarted the UVic chapter of Access Pro Bono and set up free legal clinics at the Victoria Native Friendship Centre. She articled with Velletta Pedersen Christie after a summer position at a family law firm in Duncan, BC.
