About Julia
Julia McCarty focuses her practice on corporate and securities law, particularly capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and governance matters affecting public and private companies. She studied law at the University of Alberta, taking part in the Women's Law Forum's executive team and sitting on a board that reviewed student disciplinary appeals. Prior to Osler, she trained and worked as a lawyer at another national firm. Julia also holds a business degree from the University of Alberta focused on law, economics and political science, and belongs to the Law Society of British Columbia.
