About David

David McHugh is a partner at Segev LLP whose practice centres on technology businesses, spanning privacy, employment and gaming law. He drafts and negotiates business contracts such as cloud services, software licensing and shareholders' agreements, and regularly handles employment agreements for senior executives along with high-risk terminations and workplace disputes. He also advises on equity compensation strategies including stock options and restricted share units. David graduated cum laude from the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law in 2015 and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2016; he is also licensed to practise in Alberta and Ontario.
