About Joyce
Joyce Tam is a partner at TGP and co-chairs the firm's coverage group. Joyce's practice centers on insurance coverage, defamation, professional liability and commercial litigation matters, with appearances before regulatory bodies and courts including the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, the Civilian Police Commission, the Superior Court, the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal. Recent work includes advising both policyholders and insurers on coverage tied to professional negligence, sexual abuse and financial fraud, as well as guiding clients through COVID-19 related coverage questions and defending business interruption class actions. Joyce holds an LLB/BCL from McGill University, along with a master's in Humanities Computing and English from the University of Alberta and an honours bachelor's degree in English from Simon Fraser University. Joyce was called to the Ontario bar in 2011.
