About Jonathan
Jonathan Mertz is an associate at Lenczner Slaght. His work touches commercial litigation, construction and infrastructure disputes, professional liability claims, and complex regulatory investigations, and he has acted for real estate developers, financial brokerages, and many healthcare professionals in demanding cases. Before joining the firm he served as a judicial law clerk at the Superior Court of Justice in Ontario's Central West Region, where he assisted judges with motions, appeals, and civil trials. He completed his JD at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2021, finishing near the top of his class, and holds both a BA and MA in history from the University of Windsor. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2022 and was born and raised in Germany before making Canada his home.
