About John

John Adams focuses on litigation and dispute resolution in construction and commercial law, employment law, and human rights matters. In construction law, he has represented clients in building envelope deficiency cases and acted for both owners and contractors in builders' liens, deficiency claims, and tendering disputes. His commercial work includes shareholder disputes, receivership matters, commercial arbitrations, and commercial tenancy disputes, along with advising strata corporations on condominium issues. John represents both employers and employees in wrongful dismissal, human rights, and disability insurance disputes, and regularly advises employers on ending employment relationships and drafting contracts in ways that minimize litigation risk. He was called to the bar in Ontario in 1990 and in British Columbia in 1992.
