About Joel

Joel Cormier completed his LLB at Queen's University in 2005 and joined the Ontario bar the following year. He practices in subrogation, insurance defence, construction, and personal injury litigation, and has taken numerous matters through trial and appeal. His work centers primarily on insurance and subrogation files, alongside a parallel personal injury practice and construction claims work. He has spoken on personal injury trial practice and on adapting to a changing litigation landscape, and Best Lawyers in Canada has recognized his personal injury litigation work every year since 2023.
