About Jim

Jim Davidson is a partner at Davidson Cahill Morrison LLP and a Certified Specialist in Civil Litigation who heads the firm's Insurance Group. Unusually for the field, he acts for both insurance companies and individual clients, giving him experience on both sides of injury, fatality, and disability claims. Insurers and other lawyers regularly consult him on questions of coverage for uninsured and underinsured losses. Jim began practising law in 1993 and holds a Master of Laws in Dispute Resolution from the University of Sydney in Australia. Best Lawyers in Canada has recognized him for personal injury and insurance law work since 2018. He has served as the Subject Matter Expert in Civil Litigation for Toronto Metropolitan University's Law Practice Program since 2017 and speaks frequently for the Ontario Bar Association and the Law Society of Ontario.
