About Joe

Joe Torchia was born and raised in Kamloops and earned his Bachelor of Arts from Thompson Rivers University in 2016, focusing on English and sociology, before receiving his Juris Doctor from the university's Faculty of Law in June 2020. During law school he volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada, working with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada's Volunteer Legal Advocacy Program, and served as a research assistant on intellectual property and judicial ethics topics. His coursework focused on solicitor's work including wills, estates, real estate, and commercial law, areas he plans to continue practising in Kamloops.
