Tori Chiu trained and practiced at a national firm in corporate and securities law before joining Taylor Janis, advising public and private companies and working in-house for two major public issuers in the agribusiness and oil and gas sectors. Chiu's employment practice draws on this corporate background to advise on executive compensation, termination considerations, and restrictive covenants in transactional and change-of-control contexts. Chiu is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers, and has published on Canadian corporate and securities law topics in the Alberta Law Review and other journals.
