Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionJennifer Radford is a founding partner of Tereposky & DeRose and heads the firm's Investor-State Dispute Settlement practice group. Her group has acted as co-counsel with Mexico's Secretariat of Economy in 36 investor-state arbitrations over the past five years, defending claims often exceeding a billion dollars across sectors including telecommunications, mining, casinos, and tourism. She has experience with all stages of the arbitral process, from provisional measures and jurisdictional objections through to merits and damages, and regularly handles judicial review applications to set aside arbitral awards before Canadian courts. Radford also represents foreign states and diplomatic missions in Canada on state and diplomatic immunity issues, and advises on economic sanctions, export controls, and trade embargoes. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2002 and holds an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa, an M.A. (Hons.) in International Affairs from the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, and a B.A. (Hons.) in International Political Science from the University of Alberta.
