About Hugh
Hugh Jones is an associate at Tereposky & DeRose LLP who assists with international trade matters, including Canadian anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations, WTO dispute settlement, investor-state dispute settlement, economic sanctions, public procurement, and customs matters. While earning his J.D. at Queen's University, he worked with Indigenous businesses to explore intertribal trade opportunities between Canada and the United States and represented Queen's at the 2022-2023 John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition, advancing to the final oral round in Geneva. He was named a 2024 WTO Young Trade Leader. Jones holds a B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science from the University of Alberta, where he graduated with First Class Honours, and interned with the federal government, including on the Canada-U.S. relations team in the Prime Minister's Office during the NAFTA renegotiations.
