About Jeffrey

Jeffrey Bichard is a partner at Scion Law LLP, which he founded in 2022. His practice is dedicated to estate planning and estate and trust administration, and he is frequently consulted on personal estate planning, trust planning, business succession planning, probate avoidance, incapacity planning, and disability planning. Jeff counsels executors and trustees on administering estates and trusts of varying complexity and helps beneficiaries understand their rights. He is a past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Wills, Estates and Trusts Subsection (Vancouver), a member of the Estate Planning Council of Vancouver, and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, holding the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation. He has been recognized as a leading lawyer in Trusts and Estates in Best Lawyers in Canada since 2022 and in Estate & Personal Planning in the Canadian Lexpert Directory since 2025. Before founding Scion Law, Jeff clerked at the British Columbia Court of Appeal from 2013 to 2014 and articled at an international law firm, before practising for several years in trusts and estates at one of Canada's leading tax, trusts and estates boutiques.
