Jean-Philippe Bertrand is a partner with Osler's Corporate Law group in Montreal. His practice focuses on corporate and securities law, particularly mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and private equity. He advises private and public companies, private equity firms, boards of directors and management teams on Canadian, U.S. and international transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, securities offerings, strategic investments and reorganizations. Bertrand has been recognized as a lawyer to watch for mergers and acquisitions by Best Lawyers in Canada. He holds an LL.B. from the University of Montreal and also studied at the China University of Political Science and Law. He belongs to the Barreau du Québec, the Young Bar Association of Montréal and the Canadian Bar Association.
