About Jane

Jane is counsel in Cox & Palmer's Halifax office, advising on commercial and technology matters including software development agreements, intellectual property licensing, and data privacy compliance as a Certified Information Privacy Professional. Before joining the firm in 2021, she spent 15 years as in-house counsel for government and multinational companies in telecommunications, security, defence and aviation, including managing major procurements and export control compliance. She previously served as Executive Director of the Canadian Bar Association's Nova Scotia branch, was called to the bar in the Australian Capital Territory in 2004 and the Nova Scotia bar in 2021, and was named In-House Lawyer of the Year at the 2015 Australian Law Awards.
