About Richard

Richard Hirsch is a Partner and Trademark Agent, called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1986. Hirsch works with corporate and institutional clients on transactions, negotiations, intellectual property, and information technology matters, and has acted as national IP and IT counsel for a national grocer and a seafood company. Hirsch's work has included the acquisition by Sobeys of Canada Safeway's assets for approximately $5.8 billion and a sale-leaseback transaction between Sobeys and Crombie REIT covering 70 properties worth roughly $990 million. Hirsch holds an LL.B. from Dalhousie University and a B.A. from Williams College, and has been recognized by Best Lawyers for banking and finance, corporate, information technology, and intellectual property law.
