About Susan

Susan Norman advises early-stage and established companies, together with their investors, on shareholders' agreements, corporate governance, share options, and corporate finance. Her work also includes lease and participation agreements for wind energy projects, mergers and acquisitions, and Indigenous partnership agreements. Norman has a large intellectual property practice, advising on IP strategy, software licensing, and cloud-related contracts such as SaaS agreements, and works closely with tax advisors on corporate reorganizations. Her clients include oil refinery owners, construction and engineering firms, marine port owners, and financial institutions. She earned her LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 1998 and a B.Sc. from the same university in 1995. She was called to the Newfoundland and Labrador bar in 1999 and is also a registered trademark agent.
