About Rob

Rob is a partner and trademark agent in the Halifax office whose commercial practice centers on technology, intellectual property, entertainment, and privacy law. He handles trademark prosecution and licensing, rights clearance for film, television and other media productions, and advises on joint ventures and project financing. His work also includes intellectual property due diligence, copyright protection and registration, and advertising content review under federal and provincial privacy laws. Rob earned his LLB from Dalhousie University in 1992 after completing a BSc at Queen's University. He has taught entertainment law as part-time faculty at the Schulich School of Law and has served as a director of Screen Nova Scotia and the Atlantic Film Festival Association.
