About Jamie

Jamie Pytel co-founded Kingsgate Legal in 2017 and focuses on governance, workplace investigations, workplace culture assessments, and ethics and compliance frameworks, after practising law in Alberta since 1993 in private practice and as general counsel for a major utility. In 2018 she was appointed the first Integrity Commissioner for the City of Edmonton, investigating code of conduct complaints against council members. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Arts (1989) and Bachelor of Laws (1992) from the University of Alberta, along with an MBA from the same university (2016). She has served on numerous non-profit boards, including the Alberta Cancer Foundation and the Canadian Hemophilia Society, and received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her community contributions.
