James Travers is counsel in the Charlottetown office and King's Counsel, whose practice covers banking and financing, insolvency, corporate matters and real property. He has served the Charlottetown and Prince Edward Island community as a director of the Confederation Centre of the Arts Foundation and the Community Foundation of Prince Edward Island, and received the Governor General's Caring Canadian Award in 2015. He earned his LLB and BComm from Dalhousie University in 1980 and 1977, was called to the Prince Edward Island bar in 1980, and was named King's Counsel in 1998.
